Edinburgh by the sea 🏖 ? otherwise known as PORTOBELLO

 So if you have visited Edinburgh for a few days and covered all the city has to offer what else is close by ? Well one thing you may not know is the traditional British seaside is not far away... Portobello which is branded as 'Edinburgh by the Sea" is very much a old style British Seaside resort that has over the last decade undergone a revival and is now a desirable location to live, it has a great stretch of beach and that is backed by a mile long promenade.  There is some very nice cafes/restaurants  along this stretch to enjoy a drink and meal in next to the sea whilst sitting people watching.  It can be on nice days a busy promenade.  There are amusements also and a couple of children's playgrounds for the younger generations. This area is now a popular spot for lunch for many locals and visitors alike so it is a option if your visiting the city.  To get there you could simply get a cab / uber if not public transport is available via various buses lo...

 Well first things first I am biased as Edinburgh ( Base Camp) is the city I live in, although I am not a original inhabitant, no I am originally from the West f Scotland much closer to Scotland's other great city Glasgow. But Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and is much more historical and with 100's of years of Scottish history to tap into.  Have you heard of William Wallace ? ( no not the Australian actor who played him) the real one, 😀 Robert the Bruce ? Robert Burns ? Mary Queen of Scots ? Robert Louis Stevenson ? Sir Walter Scott or even James Bond himself, Sean Connery.   Well they have all been here and you can still see the streets and buildings they used and knew.
